Light Filled Living

This project transformed the rear of the property with a single-storey extension, creating a generous open-plan kitchen, dining and living space with a much stronger connection to the garden.

The new layout brings together everyday family life in one bright, sociable space, with rooflights and wide glazed doors helping to draw natural light through the rear of the home.

A large central kitchen island provides a practical focal point, while the adjoining sitting area creates a more relaxed space overlooking the garden.

The extension was designed to sit comfortably against the existing property, using simple materials and a clean internal finish to create a calm, modern family space.

The project also included a ground-floor shower room and utility area, adding further practicality to the home.

The result is a spacious and welcoming living area that feels connected, functional and well suited to modern family life.
