Fresh Outlook

This project involved the transformation and extension of an existing detached property to create a much more modern, open and practical family home.

Externally, the property was updated with a contemporary front extension, rendered finish, dark grey windows and doors, and cladding to the first-floor frontage. These changes helped to refresh the appearance of the house while giving it a cleaner, more modern identity.

To the rear, a single-storey extension created a spacious open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, with large areas of glazing helping to bring natural light deep into the home. The new layout provides a bright and sociable space for everyday family life, with direct connection out to the garden.

Internally, the project combines simple modern finishes with practical design choices, including a large kitchen island, feature lighting, slimline glazing and a contemporary staircase detail. The result is a home that feels much larger, lighter and more connected, while still sitting comfortably within its residential setting.
